How to relax at home... Home Spa & Contest!

After a long week if work, a few classes, and kids I'm ready to unwind and I need to be pampered. I don't always feel like going out around people and I don't always want to spend a ton of money.  You always have the option of doing an at home spa day maybe you and your sister best friend, or daughter.

Lavender & home made Lavender soap

1.What You'll Need:
A relaxing scent like Lavender (my fave)
Foot Spa Bath
Facial Steamer (Optional)
Paraffin Foot & Hand Spa(Optional)
Your Favorite Polish    
4 sided Nail File/Buffer, Cuticle Pusher, Pumice, nail brush
Pedicure soak, scrub, and lotion
Facial cleanser, toner, moisturizer, scrub, and Clay Mask
Cucumber slices, olive oil, brown sugar, lemon juice, raw honey
Chamomile & peppermint tea or peppermint oil
Lavender Bubble Bath & Bath Dead Sea Salts 
Schick Hydro Silk razor, wax or hair remover

Set The Mood:
Start your at home spa day by setting the mood. make sure the house is clean, blinds are closed or slightly opened. candles are lit and I scent my home with Glade Expressions, I love the oil candles and now they have the new Glade Expressions Air Mist & Oil Diffusers home decor the best scent to relax is the Lavender & Juniper! Lavender is a natural scent that relaxes the Mind, Body, & Soul.

 Start with a home facial first cleanse the face to remove all traces of dirt.
Place a Chamomile tea bag w/ a drop or 2 of Peppermint oil in my
face steamer; you may use a bowl or clean sink if you don't have one. Place a towel over your head to hold the steam in for about 10-20 minutes. The Chamomile will calm the skin,while the steam opens the pores, the Peppermint will help remove any deep down dirt.

Next use an apricot scrub to loosen dirt in my pores.  Use a clay mask to pull out all loosened dirt & oils from pores; while mask is drying lay back and place Cucumber slices over eyes. Then remove with a cool rag, next remove any leftovers with a witch hazel, glycerine, rose water & Aloe based toner.  Finally moisturize using upward motions

3. Manicure & Pedicure: 

I recommend Avon Pedi and mani products  

Hands- Wash Hands,
- File 1 hand at a time
- Soak in soapy water in a bowl, clean with nail brush 1 at a time . 
- Push cuticles back. 
-Scrub with a home made scrub of 1/4 cup brown sugar, 1tbsp. olive oil,  1tsp. lemon juice, and 1tsp. raw honey. Your hands will feel like silk. 
-Wash hands, Polish base coat, your fave polish and a top coat, don't forget to use a moisturizing balm when done repeat other hand.

Feet- Pour foot soak into foot spa, soak for about 15-20 minutes, Next do each step 1 foot at a time 
-Push cuticles back 
-Brush nails
-File toe nails 
-Scrub the foot with a pumice, then use the foot scrub on foot massaging upward toward calf rinse, polish, moisturize and repeat on other foot.

4. Relax with a Bath

Place candles in bath area, pull out your favorite book, pour your Lavender Bubble bath and dead sea salts in the tub, under hot/warm water maybe a little epsom salt, tie your hair up, put on some Sade, get your favorite nighty, and take a nice relaxing bath all while detoxing your body. (note; dead sea salts and Epsom salts detox the body).

Review: Maybelline New Cat Eyes Colossal Mascara

Meowwww!!!... The Purrrrfect Mascara
It's hard for me to find a good mascara , I am so picky I need a mascara that adds length and volume.

I love this mascara it comes in a washable, no clump, collagen formula. The color is Glam Black'. it comes in a yellow tube with sexy orange-gold cheetah print on the cap.

The wand is specially designed with a claw brush. The brush is wider at the base to give the corner or your eyes a cat like look. I usually wear individual lashes, which pulls out my lashes , I have to take breaks so my lashes grow back. I usually use a growth treatment. but the collagen in this will also help lashes regrow.  .

So far I haven't had any clumping, except when I over applied because some eye shadow fell on them. As long as you apply just 2 coats and no more than 3 you should be fine. it does dry pretty fast.
